About Josie...

My love for crafting began out of necessity , as a mum on a budget, I learned how to sew, knit, and create magic from limited resources. From stitching school jumpers and handmade gifts to throwing imaginative parties with whatever materials I could find, creativity became part of everyday life.

Over time, that resourcefulness grew into a lifelong passion and career. I’ve worked on heritage and tourism events across North Wales, designing period costumes, props, and seasonal displays, from giant spiders and ten-foot gingerbread men to a full-sized Tyrannosaurus rex, festive grottos, and towering themed Christmas trees. Every project reminded me how much joy and wonder creativity can bring.

Even as a child, I loved nothing more than turning an Easter egg box into a tiny theatre, and honestly, not much has changed! Crafting has always been my peaceful place, my way to slow down and reconnect.

In more recent years, creativity has also become something deeper for me a way to heal, rebuild, and rediscover myself after loss. Making things again reminded me that creativity isn’t just about what you produce, it’s about how it makes you feel. It’s proof that light and hope can return, even after the hardest of times.

Now, through my classes at Crafts with Jo, I get to share that same joy with others. Watching people relax, laugh, and rediscover their creativity, leaving with a smile, a sense of pride, and maybe a little bit of glitter is what it’s all about for me.

Whether you’re here to try something new, to find a moment of calm, or to reconnect with your creative side, you’re so welcome.
